COUPLES WISHING TO MARRY
IN THAILAND MUST REGISTER AT THE BRITISH EMBASSY AND LEGALISE
YOUR MARRIAGE AT THE DISTRICT REGISTRARS OFFICE IN BANGKOK.
ONCE THESE PROCEDURES ARE COMPLETE YOU ARE LEGALLY MARRIED
UNDER THAI LAW.
NO CEREMONY TAKES PLACE. YOU ARE ISSUED WITH A THAI MARRIAGE
CERTIFICATE AND AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION WILL BE ARRANGED. THEN
COUPLES CAN GO ON TO A BEACH LOCATION FOR A CELEBRATION OF
THEIR MARRIAGE. |

at least 6 months validity on each passport. |

Decree Absolute if either
of party is divorced. Court stamp is required. If the bride
has been divorced for less than 10 months at the time of the
wedding a medical certificate is required. |

Change of name by Deed Poll,
proof is required, including Solicitor signature and stamp.
