LEGAL REQUIRMENTS FOR DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

THE CEREMONY IS ALL DONE IN SPANISH WITH AN INTERPRETER PRESENT. THIS MEANS THE MARRIAGE CERTFICATE IS ALSO ISSUED IN SPANISH.!! SOME DOCUMENTS HAVE TO BE TRANSLATED IN TO SPANISH BEFORE DEPARTURE.
•	MINIMUM RESIDENCY 5 DAYS
•	Tourist Cards are required on arrival by local authorities.
•	Both passengers should have at least 6 months validity on each passport. In addition please copy first 6 pages of old style passport or last six of new
•	Birth Certificates
•	An Affidavit must be signed to prove both parties are single.
•	Decree Absolute if either of party is divorced. Original plus one copy is required with court stamp. The Decree Absolute MUST have been issued at least 10 months before the wedding date.
•	Change of name by Deed Poll, proof is required, including Solicitor signature and stamp.
•	Statutory Declaration. Has to be prepared by a Solicitor. Attach business card.
•	Adoption Certificates if applicable
•	Death Certificates if any of the party is a Widow/Widower
•	Parental Consent if under 18 years old.
•	Wedding form completed... Stating names, Address, occupations and place of employment for both parties.
