HOW TO HAVE A STRESS FREE WEDDING

•	Book early to guarantee, your choice of hotel, date & time.
•	Remember to book wedding extras if you know what you want then its best to find out if it can be arranged in advance.
•	Pack all your original documents and carry as hand luggage.
•	Wedding outfits - Get the shop you purchase your outfit from to wrap it in tissue and get a cover for it. Then most airlines advise to pack in HARD suitcase and mark "FRAGILE WEDDING ATTIRE"
•	When you get to resort you will be invited to meet with your wedding co-ordinator. You need to make friends, as she will be able to sort out any unusual requests.
•	Unpack wedding outfits and hang in a steamy bathroom, or ask your wedding co-ordinator to hang it for you if you are keeping it as a surprise.
•	Walk around the hotel, if you thought you always wanted a beach wedding you may change your mind. (Beaches are public spaces and other guests always want to join in on your special day).
•	Go easy on the sunbathing. Use high factor cream. The last thing you want is to burn and be uncomfortable.
•	Ask if you can buy your photo negatives or get them put on disc. This makes things so much easier when family / friends what copies of your special day.
•	Remember, Relax and have fun. Enjoy your wedding day

HELPFUL HINTS

•	AFFIDAVIT This document can be obtained from a Notary Public, who can be found at a solicitor's office
•	CELEBRATION OF COMMITMENT This is a ceremony that can be offered in New York and Australia, which celebrates a couples permanent relationship. It is a legally recognised ceremony although it is conducted by a highly regarded Australian Marriage/New York Celebrant.
•	CERTIFIED DOCUMENTS A solicitor, who is legally granted to carry out this process, can provide these. An original document will always be required by the solicitor to copy e.g. original birth certificate. This will be photocopied, stamped and signed by the solicitor, indicating that it is a true copy of an original. (Signature should be in blue or red ink)
•	DECREE ABSOLUTE Where a party is divorced documentary evidence of the dissolution or annulment must be provided.
•	FREE TO MARRY To marry overseas both parties need to be single and free to marry.
