Babysitting
Established in 1995, The Nanny Network Ltd. has been providing quality childcare to children of all ages. While you are enjoying all that Whistler has to offer, qualified and reliable nannies will provide childcare at your location. Whether it be daytime or evening, your children are in capable hands. Arts and Crafts, swimming, and story time are just a few activities that your children can look forward to. All over the age of 20 years, the nannies hold a current First Aid/CPR certification. Their references have been carefully screened and they have all undergone The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Security Check. The Nanny Network is licensed, bonded and insured.

Bell Staff

Complimentary bicycle, ski and golf storage is available in the lower lobby concourse level of the hotel.

Express Check-In/Out
Express Check Out forms are included in the your room key passport. These can be dropped off at the front desk located in the lobby of the hotel should you prefer to have your balance settled to your credit card rather than being assisted by a Front Desk Agent. Check your account balance using the menu screen on your guestroom television.

Fairmont Gold Guestrooms and Penthouse suites all have gas-burning fireplaces. Large, wood-burning fireplaces are located between the Great Hall and Mallard Lounge, in The Wildflower, and in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.

Pet Policy
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler welcomes small pets for a charge. Pets will be supplied with a small pet bed, special treats, and a pet bowl. The charge will be added to guests accounts to cover additional cleaning expenses required.

Wheelchair Accessibility
There are 15 wheelchair-accessible guestrooms: 13 rooms with king beds and two rooms with two queen beds. In addition, there is a coffee table, two casual chairs, television, three-piece bathroom, lowered controls, wider doors and spaces, fire-alarm lights, and volume-controlled phones. Five rooms are also equipped with sofa sleepers. Two wheelchairs are available at no extra charge.

Ski and Snowboard School
With a combined staff of nearly 1,200 employees, the Whistler/ Blackcomb Ski & Snowboard School is not only the largest in Canada, but also one of the largest operations of its kind in the world. It is not just the sheer size of the Ski & Snowboard School that makes it unique, it's the people who work in Whistler that make it one of the best in North America. Whistler/ Blackcomb instructors boast certification from the CSIA, CASI, PSIA, NZIA and L'ecole des Ski Francais. With the greatest number of Level IV instructors of any ski school in the world.

Adult Programs

Learn to Ride: Learn to surf the snow and get addicted to the feeling! World-class instructors have created a step-by-step introduction to snowboarding that will gradually move you from sliding to turning.

Daily Skiing Improvement Workshops: Intermediate and advanced skiers can improve their performance and enjoyment of bumps, powder or parallel skiing, while our qualified instructors guide you to the best terrain Whistler and Blackcomb mountains have to offer.

Daily Ride Clinics: Whether you are improving freestyle form in the park and pipe, laying down strong smooth carves on groomed corduroy, or mixing it up with true Whistler big mountain freeriding, our daily riding clinics offer challenges and excitement for intermediate and advanced snowboarders.

Private Lessons: Move at your own pace, or learn as a family-private instructors are available for half or full day private lessons. All lessons include lift line priority and are available for up to five people of similar ability. Foreign language instructors are available to give lessons to the French, Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, German, Italian and Spanish guests.

Extremely Canadian: For advanced and expert skiers wanting to experience the excitement of Whistler's most challenging terrain. Extremely Canadian offers an intense two days of big mountain freeskiing. Extremely Canadian's guides are some of the best freeskiiers anywhere-- including Rob Boyd, Peter Smart, Wendy Brookbank, Shawn 'Smiley' Nesbitt and Chris Winter. They will guide you to the best Whistler has to offer in steeps, chutes, trees and couloirs.

Dave Murray Ski Camp: Founded by Whistler's own Dave Murray, one of the original Crazy Canucks. Confident intermediate to expert skiers are challenged to train like pros. The ski school's very best coaches in the area inspire, train and improve skiing skills during the three and four day camps offered throughout the winter.

Ski and Ride Esprit: For all levels of skiers and snowboarders visiting the Whistler area, the 'Esprit' programs offer the opportunity to experience both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Offered as a three or four day program throughout the winter, the 'Esprit' programs are the perfect way to explore the mountains in a relaxed and fun group atmosphere.

Women Only Programs

Women's All-Star Snowboard Camp: A chance to learn from the top female pros and members of the Canadian National Snowboard Team in a fun, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. The two day Women's All-Star program covers all types of riding (freestyle, freeriding and carving) for all ability levels.

Stephanie Sloan Ski Clinics: Developed by former World Champion skier, Stephanie Sloan, the 'women only' program has helped thousands of women excel on the hill. Whistler/ Blackcomb's top female coaches improve skills while developing increased confidence and unlimited enjoyment for the sport.

Gatebusters: Gatebusters is a race training program for skiers with previous gate experience. Every Wednesday and Saturday from mid-December to late March. Guests can brush up on Slalom, Giant Slalom or Super G. Each day offers a new challenging course in one of the three disciplines.

Alpine Access Ability/ Disabled Snowsports Program: The Alpine Access Ability program provides recreational opportunities for people with disabilities. These programs are available for all abilities, from beginners needing instruction on the basics to seasoned skiers needing only a guide. Certified instructors and volunteers use the latest adaptive skiing techniques to meet the needs of each individual. In cooperation with the Disabled Skiers Association of British Columbia, we provide an inventory of equipment and cutting edge instruction.

Kids and Youth Programs
Whistler Kids offers a broad range of programs catering to kids as young as three months, with kids first taking to skis at three years of age. Teaching more than 140,000 kids every winter, Whistler Kids is Canada's premier recreational operation for children.

Whistler Kids: 500 instructors are dedicated to making the mountains a kids' playground. Whistler Kids instructors are highly trained ski and snowboard professionals, specializing in kids. They understand the uncertainty that comes with learning new things and they coax, encourage and care for kids every step of the way. Whistler/ Blackcomb's unique Kids Adventure Zones are designed to pique a child's imagination, while providing a fun environment for developing skills. A mystical castle, enchanted forest and secret forts draw Whistler kids into a world of their own. Kids-only lifts, such the Magic Carpet, make going uphill easy and kids-only facilities, such as The Whistler Children's Learning Centre, provide kid-size amenities.

DailyPrograms A day away from the family provides children the opportunity to break-free, make new friends and meet new challenges. Different programs are offered for different age groups, focusing on specific interests. Teenagers squeeze in as many runs as they can, while younger children will supplement their on-hill time with indoor activities.

Adventure Camp
Adventure Camps are the best way for your children to spend a few days on the mountain making friends with children of similar abilities and with their instructors. Children enjoy their time with the same instructor during two or five day camps, creating a comfortable and fun learning environment.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
More than 28 kilometers (17.5 miles) of track-set cross-country trails wind through the scenic Lost Lake, Chateau Whistler Golf Course and Nicklaus North Golf Course trails. Additional track-set trails around the Whistler Golf Course offer an ideal beginners' route. Whistler has become one of the premier golf destinations in Canada and the Chateau Whistler Golf Club is most certainly one of the reasons why. Rated 'Four and a half stars' by Golf Digest. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1993, the par 72, 18-hole course offers a golf opportunity unmatched in the region.

By allowing nature to dictate the path without constraints of commercial influence, the course traverses creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas Firs and granite rock faces, which testify to the fact that this magnificent course follows closely the natural state of the rugged terrain.

Winding its way through some of the most interesting terrain in Southwestern British Columbia, the course provides enough fun and challenge for everyone. Carved out of the Coastal Mountain slopes, with elevation changes of more than 400 ft. overall, this magnificent golf course is generous to the eye. Ayurvedic Massage

The Ayurvedic Massage boosts circulation and strengthens the immune system. Warm healing oil customized to your unique dosha composition is applied to your entire body with a unique massage method that stimulates lymphatic drainage to help remove toxins. This deeply relaxing treatment also mobilizes your joints, enhances tissue suppleness, nourishes your nervous system and alleviates stress.

Swedana Steam Treatment
(90 minutes & 120 minutes)
The Swedana treatment starts with a relaxing Ayurvedic massage to promote blood movement and lymph circulation. Following your massage, you are placed in a handcrafted West Coast cedar steam cabinet. Steam is focused on your body to promote the loosening and elimination of toxins, while your head is kept cool to help relax your mind. To further assist with detoxification, the cabinet is infused with a herbal mixture customized for your dosha composition. This is followed by a dry flour brushing of your entire body to further exfoliate the skin and prevent toxins from re-entering the body.

Abhyanga
(60 minutes)
Benefit from the work of four hands as two therapists massage your body in perfect synchrony. The Abhyanga Massage boosts the body's circulation and increases energy through the use of healing herbal oils.

Abhyanga Swedana Treatment
(90 minutes)
The Abhyanga Swedana treatment begins with a relaxing 60-minute Abhyanga massage. This is followed by our Swedana Steam treatment to help oils further penetrate your skin and remove toxins lodged deep within your tissue. A dry flour brushing of the body completes your treatment.

Shirodhara Treatment
(30 minutes)
The Shirodhara treatment sedates the nervous system and induces a deep state of relaxation. A steady stream of warm oil is poured over your forehead while your head is massaged to promote further relaxation. This treatment is highly recommended on its own or after any massage or body treatment.

Shirodhara Head & Scalp Massage
(60 minutes)
The Shirodhara Head and Scalp Massage calms the nervous system and the mind, therefore helping insomnia, headaches and other stress-related conditions. After a soothing 30 minute head, neck and shoulder massage, the Shirodhara warm oil treatment will continue to relax your state of mind.
