Luxor's great onyx-hued pyramid is a marvel of modern construction, and has become a distinctive landmark on the Las Vegas Strip. In designing the massive structure, Luxor architect Dan Juba of Las Vegas applied basic tenets of Egyptian architecture to provide a truthful encounter with ancient Egypt.

Built in 1993, Luxor added the twin towers in 1998, creating the spectacular Luxor Resort & Casino as it stands today. The second largest hotel in the United States with 4,408 richly-appointed guest rooms and suites, Luxor boasts the world's largest atrium, measuring 29 million cubic feet.

Luxor's journey through time to the golden age of the Pharaohs begins the moment guests enter the monumental pyramid. Once inside, visitors are greeted by an awe-inspiring, life-size replica of the Great Temple of Ramses II, which rises 35 feet into the expansive atrium. Our Pyramid has 2,256 rooms with 236 Spa suites, two in each corner of every floor. Inclinators' travel sideways at a 39-degree angle up 30 stories taking guests to their rooms.
